Luxury Swimwear For Women With GG+ Cup Sizes

Own The Beach is a luxury swimwear brand exclusively designed for women with GG+ cup sizes. Inspired by high-end fashion lines and extravagant trips abroad, the owner Lisa Johnson wanted to create beachwear in a range of styles that exude glamour whilst never comprising on comfort or support. Inspired by confident and empowered women, her mission is to make fuller bust ladies feel fabulous every time they hit the beach.

Where It All Began 

 

It all started back in the 90s when Lisa was getting ready for a lavish trip abroad with her girlfriends. Their itinerary was brimming with trips to chic beach resorts, stunning restaurants and luxury cocktail bars. Sounds dreamy right? The only issue was Lisa’s swimming attire. 

 

Because of her bigger bust, she was limited by what she could wear. Lisa longed to slip into stunning two-piece sets by high-end designers but they didn’t make the tops in her cup size. 

 

In the end, she had to settle for an average bikini which made her feel frumpy and unfashionable. This was the moment Lisa came up with the idea to start her own luxury swimwear brand for curvier women. She wanted to create glamorous pieces which gave those ladies the confidence to walk on the beach like they owned the damn thing. 

 

Bringing The Vision To Life  

 

Lisa became obsessed with this niche and started talking to other fuller bust women about their own experiences. It became clear that there was a demand for glamorous swimwear in larger cup sizes but no products on the market. 

 

Lisa took a course at the London College of Fashion and discovered everything there was to know about support and styles for larger breasts. She began her quest to find a sample maker who could bring her vision to life and after a few failed attempts, she finally found the sampler of her dreams. In 2017, Own The Beach was finally born. 

 

A Drive For Fuller Bust Women To Be Included in High-End Fashion

 

Underpinning Lisa’s goals for Own The Beach is a deep belief that fuller bust women shouldn’t feel excluded from high-end fashion. Although the fashion industry is becoming increasingly more diverse, it’s still limited for those with bigger breasts and Lisa wants to change this. She’s on a mission to make those women feel body confident and breathtakingly beautiful every time they hit the beach - We know you don’t need a bikini for this, but it definitely helps.

Own The Beach swimsuits are made to order using 78% recycled nylon and 22% end-of-line fabric rolls, all sourced from top-quality manufacturing houses. This is to ensure we minimise wastage, and that the highest sustainability standards are used throughout the design process. 

 

All garments are handmade in the UK, this helps to support local businesses whilst dramatically reducing our carbon footprint.
